Database Driven Web Sites:

Large volumes of data can be made accessible in a site served from a database. Selected information is merged with page layouts on the fly as needed. Each record can be added to an index or displayed in a custom page.

In the Virtual City project, Fells Point site calls are made to a database to fill in the blanks in the code. In this way hundreds of shops are able to be displayed using what is in fact the same page!
